I remember a NYT story where Obama proposed spending $3 trillion on "modernizing" nukes. When did I get to vote on that? Does anybody really want that? (Sociopaths and death fetishists and dominionist Christians aside, natch.)

It's too bad we share a lineage with chimps and other violent patriarchal apes. We wouldn't be so predisposed to follow whatever alpha turns up, who is inevitably a sociopath. We've had this problem since we discovered agriculture and began living in settlements. When we lived in the small hunter-gatherer bands natural to us, sociopaths like Zionists wouldn't be allowed any power. I agree 100% Dex. We need to change this or we will not as a species survive and we'll take a LOT of others with us.
I wouldn't feel bad if just humans went extinct. It's that we'll take everything else with us that upsets me. :)
