10 Ways People Are Dealing With Bad Vibes
Many have noticed so many horrible vibes out there lately: how can we cope?
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve probably noticed the onslaught of horrible vibes in the world in recent months. I’m quite old as Zionist attack bots and incels remind me daily and this is the worst general vibe I’ve felt in my life. My daughter, who isn’t old, agrees with me.
People are treating everyone at her workplace poorly. Both she and I see road rage every day. I was recently confronted by not one, but two vicious, cursing men calling me the “c” word. Both times, they had done wrong things prior to their verbal attacks.
It feels so bad out there right now that it’s easy to believe there’s a living, breathing Satan with a pitchfork and tail, cackling as he shovels souls into Hell.
I asked my X (Twitter) crew what they were doing to combat the strong bad vibes in the world. I got ten different answers. Each of them could work to ease some of the stress and stay off the Helltrain.
Meditation, Mindfulness, Yoga
Christians practice prayer. Worldwide, people practice meditation to calm their minds and achieve a peaceful emotional state.
There’s ample research to show that meditation has many benefits, from improving sleep quality to reducing stress and depression. In combining physical movement with meditation, practicing yoga has physical and emotional/cognitive benefits.
Growing Mushrooms & Fermented Foods
You’re talking to microbiome woman. Fermented foods have been proven to strengthen the microbiome time and again. The best choices are ones you can make yourself at home, including sauerkraut, kimchi, and pickles.
There’s a resurgent interest in the benefits of “magic mushrooms,” but my X-friend was growing the regular eating kind. Mushrooms can be grown indoors and they’re highly nutritious, and even the non-magic type have health and wellness benefits.
Making Artwork/Being Creative
My life is changing (again!) and now I remember how relaxing and enjoyable it is to make art and play music. It doesn’t matter if you’re any good or even if what you make is something that’s supposedly “good”. Just doing something creative gives benefits. I don’t know if you’ve experienced it, but when you’re in the creative “zone,” time isn’t the same as when you’re doing something else.
When I’m doing something creative, time just stops. I can spend hours making something or playing music (or writing for my self) and it feels like a few minutes. I’m sure anyone with ADHD can relate to this. Imagine being told this is bad and we have to stop — again, anyone with ADHD can relate to this.
Talking To The Animals
The health benefits of having pets have been well-documented, but interacting with animals in nature are also beneficial to our mental and physical health. Backyard birding turns out to be one of the most popular hobbies in the US. If you have farm animals, you know that caring for them is usually a calming, rewarding experience. I say “usually” because I have cared for many animals in my time. There are always those exceptions when problems occur.
Singing Bowls & Pranic Healing
All along Florida’s west coast Gulf beaches, we have drum circles and singing bowl events. Singing bowls are also proven to have positive health benefits. Pranic healing is a holistic approach with a thousand-year tradition to tap into our chi, aka our life force, and promote healing and peace.
Gaming/Sitcoms/Rom Coms
A lot of our entertainment can be very stressful and much of it promotes violence and hatred, but there are newer, relaxing games that can impart positive energy. As far as sitcoms and Rom Coms go, there have also been many studies showing that “laughter is the best medicine”. A good laugh reduces blood pressure and produces positive biological and emotional responses.
Cooking and Baking
As with artwork and other creative ventures, cooking and baking are relaxing and we can always eat the results. I’ve been meaning to write about sourdough for a while. People returned to sourdough baking during the 2020 pandemic and it remains popular.
Living in the Moment
Our hectic lives make it difficult for us to live in the moment the way just about anybody around the world knows will lead to more fulfilling, happy lives.
Getting Out In Nature
Without understanding what I was doing until recently, I’ve gone on long nature walks and hikes my entire life. I used to take my dog Freckles on several-mile hikes in the Santa Ana riverbed, especially when something bad had happened at home, as it did on a regular basis. Thirty minutes in nature has proven, documented health and wellness benefits.
Medical Cannabis
It’s hard to believe that medical cannabis is still considered controversial and commonly-prescribed psych meds with many side effects, up to and including death, are considered “safe” by some people. Even if you come from a conservative background and have been taught to fear “demon weed,” medical cannabis had been confirmed to relieve pain, reduce nausea, and reduce the symptoms of PTSD, as well as anxiety and depression.
I’ve done all of these things with the exception of growing mushrooms and pranic healing. Our nature is to seek life, homeostasis (Google it), and happiness.
However, the bad vibes in the world are feeding and growing the weeds of genocide, demons, and hatred. By undertaking these practices, you can make it harder for the real demon weeds to take root and grow. If these bad, destructive forces have taken a foothold in your life, see how you can use these methods to uproot them and grow peaceful and healthy experiences instead.
